ASAPS CONFERENCE

The annual conference of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) brought together world class presenters and the cream of Australia/NZ plastic surgeons. Sessions on Breast Implantation and Belkyra (the non-surgical treatment for double chin) were excellent.

The highlight for me were the sessions on Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL), because Australian Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons are leading the world in diagnosis and treatment of this rare potential complication of breast implants. My overwhelming impression is that women are safe in the hands of properly qualified aesthetic plastic surgeons in Australia and New Zealand.
